Child of Mine

"I'll lend you for a little time a child of Mine," He said,
"For you to love while he lives and mourn for when he's dead."

But will you, till I call him back, take care of him for Me?"

For all the joy Thy child shall bring, the risk of grief we'll run.

We'll shelter him with tenderness, we'll love him while we may.
And for the happiness we've known, forever grateful stay.

But shall the angels call for him much sooner than we've planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand.

The Broken Chain

We little knew that morning
that God was going to call your name,
in life we loved you dearly; in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,
and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

   We've set up this page to remember our Johnny... and make it possible for anyone who can donate, to be able to come here and do that. The cost of having a funeral for him is just not financially possible at this time, and we would appreciate any help you can offer - and pass this along to anyone you know.

   Nothing will ever be able to take away the pain of losing him, or help it make sense to us. All we can do now is try and remember all the amazing things about him, and show his parents how much we love them and are here for them. Share your memories and your support to his family and friends.
